Sal Formica is a lifelong public servant, small business owner, and community leader dedicated to making Suffolk County a safer, stronger, and more prosperous place. A 36-year Commack resident, Sal’s career spans law enforcement, emergency services, finance, and local business.

A retired Second-Grade Detective with the NYPD’s Elite Emergency Services Unit and Ex-Chief of the Commack Fire Department, Sal has spent over three decades protecting our community. He’s also a proud small business owner, operating successful local restaurants and understanding the challenges facing Suffolk families and business owners.

Sal’s leadership extends to youth sports, serving 15 years on the Commack South Little League Board, and advocating for public safety and fiscal responsibility. As your next County Legislator, Sal Formica will continue to fight for emergency preparedness, responsible budgeting, small business growth, and quality of life for Suffolk County families.
